Over the last couple months Zoey's level of independence has gone through the roof. While it is a blessing for some things for others I wish we had a little more time to savor the "old" days. All feeding is now conducted by her and while this will be extremely helpful in the future for now it means messes and lots of them. By the end of the day when I should be cleaning the rest of the house I find myself extremely unmotivated and I have come to the conclusion that is because that is all I do all day! The area around Zoey's high chair is spotless as it is mopped (seriously) at least twice a day. Just to give you an idea...
This was just the beginning...from here she gave herself a yogurt shampoo. Funny now not so much then.
However, it nice that she can do things like get her own socks and shoes. Can't put them on herself, but she tries. Or the fact that she can get her own books and chose which ones she wants to read like at the moment while I am writing this. Or even that she can walk on her own now.

You can borrow Baby. She will clean up Zoey's food messes for you, including licking her face and hands clean if you want.
