All about Zoey

Zoey with our veggies from the garden

So lately it seems every time we turn around Zoey is doing or saying something super cute :)

Cell Phone

In case you haven't heard the cell phone story yet...A few weeks ago Zoey gets her purse and pulls out her "cell phone" and starts saying "bye, bye, see ya". I ask her where she is going and she says "PIZZA!" and does a little jig. And what does she say is going to be on said pizza, olives, of course! After declaring it was to be olives she digs for her keys, finds them, and walks to the front door while "talking" on her phone.

a. We don't get pizza that often (and obviously not often enough for Zoey's liking!) maybe twice a month.
b. I really need to stop talking on my phone so often as I go out the door :)
c. Olives - a new Zoey favorite along with pickles (she wouldn't eat either as little as a month ago)

Vacuums

Zoey has always had a love/hate relationship with vacuums. She hates the loud noise they make and always has...for her vacuums are not soothing ;) BUT she has an intense curiosity about how they work. This curiosity and fear have made for a very interesting combo recently. She has taken to accidentally (well not really, but she pretends) spilling cereal either from a baggy as we head out the door or from her high chair. Then she says "Ooohhh no Zoey!" followed by "vacuum". Which is supposed to be my cue to get out the vacuum and clean up the mess she just made. Of course, as soon as the vacuum goes on she gets scared, cries and runs away, but then comes back (still crying I might add) to see it all get sucked up and get a closer look at the vacuum when it is off again.

Pretend Play

Zoey has become quite adept at creating scenarios for herself to act out. See cell phone story above! She talks on the phone to all the different people she knows, plays tea party with anyone who will drink tea with her, dances with her babies and stuffed animals and plays house helping me clean, weed, and feed her babies. And today I found her doing this...

She was pretending it was a choo-choo train!!!

And a few more pictures just for fun!

Reading Books (this is what she does sometimes when she disappears)

All dressed up!

Wearing Mommy's sandals and trying to walk!
