A time to say goodbye

I had another post started that I was working on yesterday, but with the passing of my grandma today I decided instead to lead with this one and finish the other post sometime this weekend.

Last week we decided after my ultrasound to let all our family know about our new little one. So last Wednesday I got Zoey dressed up in her shirt we had made together and brought to visit her great grandma to share the news. I held Zoey up so my grandma could read her shirt and she got the biggest smile on her face. We spent a couple more days there visiting over this past week and every time she asked how the baby was doing. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have been able to tell my grandma that she was going to be a great grandma again and what joy that brought her.

As my sister-in-law simply stated: we lose loved ones & become blessed with new ones...how true and uplifting this is.

Never forget yesterday,
But always live for today…
Because you never know what tomorrow can bring,
Or what it can take away…
