It has been awhile...I apologize

I am now 30 weeks along and we are getting to the less then 10 weeks (if he is on time) countdown. Seems amazing to me how quick this has all gone this time around. Our big plans for the next couple of months are to get the computer room aka Brian's man cave converted into a nursery for this little guy and to get a crib (Zoey's was recalled and we just need to get a replacement). When we get that all squared away I will for sure post some pics. We have plans to have one of our very talented friends Amie do a mural on one wall for us this next month.

I have been nesting for sure, but need more space and stuff to do it with because going through his clothes we already have another time seems a bit obsessive. I seriously have reorganized them and added odd and ends I have picked up at clearance sales (or from friends) along the way at least a dozen times. The urge to throw out lots of stuff has occurred too...something I do when moving too. It drives Brian crazy!

One of these nights soon I am going to have to video tape my belly for you all to see. He gets going like a little ball of fire and it is pretty amazing to see how much he really is moving. Last night was a stellar show and if I had known he was going to go on for so long I would have gotten up to get the camera. That is the problem with kids they never let you know ahead of time when they are going to do or say something really cute/funny! Unfortunately, some of the acrobatics have been keeping me up waaaayyyyy past my bedtime, but I know soon he will be too big to do it and then I will miss it. It is crazy how quickly that can happen!

Just to give you some perspective...here we are. I am bigger by a couple inches around at this point (8 months) then I was with Zoey at 9 months (I kept the string from my baby shower where I was measured). So that means I should be a considerable amount larger this time by the end since this is when he will really start to take off on putting on the pounds and inches!

Zoey is now in the habit of kissing and hugging my belly or rather her baby brother goodnight before she goes down for the night. It is sweet and she is really looking forward to being able to hold him soon. She brings it up at least once a day. We have looked at some older pictures recently and she has now come to realize what I mean when I say she was in my belly. She shows people her little photo album with a picture of me pregnant with her and says that is me and then I come out! The other night she added the hilarious "pop goes the weasel" after explaining it to someone. If only it had been that easy ;)

She has exploded on the talking front and can easily hold conversations (that you can understand) with just about anyone. Her favorite thing right now is to sing nursery rhyme songs and dance along with them. Last night I got the whole show and she even started bringing in some props to add to the excitement. It is pretty cool to see the connections she has made to adapt what we have around our house to work for what she wants. For example last night one of the songs was about riding horses, so she went and got her rocking snail to ride instead since we don't have a horse. She has been surprising her Mommy and Daddy pretty much everyday with little things like that, that she does on her own or memories she has from way back when (for her at least anyway).

Update: Had my 31 week appointment this morning (1/28) and am measuring ahead by at least a week. Baby Boy Hoobler is also head down as confirmed by ultrasound! Yay! Now he just has to stay that way and stop growing so fast or he is going to get evicted before he chooses :)
