Out with the old and In with the new!

Zoey's crib was recalled this last week so it put our "should we move her to a toddler bed" discussion into fast forward. After researching, it came to my attention that even IF we did buy a new crib and set it up for her, that at her height they recommend either a crib net so she can't climb or fall out OR move them into a low bed. Hmmmm...

Well after some research on Grandma Hermen's behalf a toddler bed sounded like the best move. Thanks Mom! I wasn't total sure how she was going to take it when the bed frame came today and we decided we might as well do it when she gets up from her nap. Lately she seems to be craving routine and sameness and here is something that is totally not the same.

I needn't have worried as she was super excited!!! If Brian hadn't needed my help with the tear down and setup I would have tried to get some video. I did get pictures though :). I keep telling all my friends who have just had kids (or are currently pregnant) how fast it goes, but man it seems like this past week we somehow jumped ahead weeks if not months from where we were. Part of it is that it happened so fast and we had been discussing it as an end of summer thing not the beginning. My little girl is 18 months already...WOW how time flies!
